RENO, Nev. -- The matchups for the 2015-16 Mountain West-Missouri Valley Conference Challenge have been released and the Nevada men's basketball team will travel to Peoria, Ill., to take on the Bradley Braves on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016.
The regular season series between Nevada and Bradley is tied at 1-1 with the Pack winning the last matchup, a 64-59 victory on Nov. 26, 2011 in the Chicago Invitational Challenge. The first game occurred on Dec. 14, 1960 when Bradley topped the Pack in Peoria, 95-59.
The Wolf Pack topped Drake, 79-71, at Lawlor Events Center on Dec. 12 of this season that avenged a 76-66 loss to the Bulldogs on Nov. 30, 2012, Nevada's first appearance in the MW/MVC Challenge.
Nine of the 10 games will take place on the same date (Dec. 3, 2016). The agreement between the Mountain West and Missouri Valley conferences is in the second year of a four-year term. This year, the MW won the series, 6-4, with the final games being played this past Sunday.
The MW has an all-time series edge of 3-1-1 in five previous Challenge seasons, including an overall advantage of 28-17 in games played in association with the series. The Challenge Series features head-to-head competition between 10 Mountain West and 10 Missouri Valley teams annually, with each conference hosting five games apiece each season.
