SANTA CLARA, Calif. - After a tough first day the University of Nevada women's tennis team found success on day two of the Santa Clara Invitational Saturday. Three Wolf Pack singles players earned wins and one doubles team scored a pair of victories.

Junior Sheila Morales needed three sets to knock of Santa Clara's Chelby Cooke 2-6, 6-4 and 7-6. It also took three sets for newcomer Claudia Herrero to earn a victory over Madison Clarke of Santa Clara 4-6, 7-6 and 6-1. The third singles player to earn a victory on Saturday was senior Monika Magusiak 6-0, 6-2 over Elizabeth Stevens of Santa Clara.

Blaga Delic lost 6-1, 6-2 to SC's Danielle Silva 6-1, 6-2 and Adriana Gergelyova fell 6-4, 6-1 to SC's Nabila Farah.

Sara Korzeniecki won the first set 6-1 over Gabriela Rivas of Academy of Art University but suffered and injury and was forced to retire. San Jose State's Justine Deleval scored a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Pack freshman Delany Phanco.

Nevada played eight doubles matches on Saturday and won two. Magusiak and freshman Lea Schneider earned both Pack victories. The duo earned an 8-6 victory over the Academy of Art University team of Dorata Markowska and Gabriella Rivas. For the second win they defeated Marine Dans and Sybille Gauvan from San Jose State 8-5.
