Starting this fall, the Nevada men's basketball program has instituted weekly meetings with the players and staff called the leadership council.  Every Wednesday, a rotating group of three to four players meet with the coaches and support staff for 30-60 minutes in order to make sure that the players voices are being heard. The intention behind the leadership council is to constantly find ways to enhance the program and ensure that players and coaches alike are put in a position to succeed.

Topics of discussion range from minute details such as the timing of pre-game meals to more serious conversations regarding what it takes to promote a winning culture. The players are encouraged to speak their minds freely on any topic of discussion, which helps ensure that the players and coaches are on the same page. Each Wednesday, there are new players, new voices, and new topics of discussion. The goal is the same though each week: give the players a voice and constantly find ways to improve the Wolf Pack program and culture--down to all the little details.
