University of Nevada seniors Marqueze Coleman and AJ West were named to the Outrigger Resorts Rainbow Classic all-tournament team as the Wolf Pack posted a 2-1 record to finish second. The Pack were 5 seconds from a perfect tournament dropping the final game to Hawai`i 76-75.
Coleman averaged 22.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. In the Hawai`i game he scored a career-high 34 points with 32 coming in the second half. He scored in double figures in all three games starting with 14 against Coastal Carolina, 20 versus Montana State and the 34. From the field he shot 54.8 percent and 82.5 percent from the free throw line.
West averaged 9.3 points, 9.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game. He posted double-doubles in the first two games with 12 points and 11 rebounds against Coastal Carolina then followed that with 11 points and 12 rebounds in the MSU contest. Both rebound totals were game highs. From the field he shot 47.6 percent and 72.7 percent from the free throw line.
