RENO, Nev. - The 11th ranked University of Nevada (2-1, 2-1 PRC) rifle team knocked off #19 UTEP (0-2, 0-2 PRC) for the second day in a row. After defeating the Miners 4620-4588 on Saturday the Wolf Pack scored a 4639-4616 victory on Sunday.

With win the Pack improved to 2-1 overall and 2-1 in the Patriot Rifle Conference. The Miners are now 0-2 on the season and 0-2 in PRC action.

The Pack won the smallbore 2303-2272 on Sunday. Freshman Mitchell Van Patten posted the top score in the event with his 582. UTEP's Rachael Schoenrock shot 581 to lead the Miners. Nevada senior Greta Ochsner shot 575 and sophomore Justin Nissen posted a 574.

UTEP won the air rifle 2344-2336. One week after tying the school record with a 597 Emily Capaul shot 593 to post the top score in air rifle. Schoenrock shot 591 and Amy Bock 590 for UTEP. Sarah Jameson posted a 588 and Nissen a 580 for the Pack.

Nevada competes next Saturday at UTEP.
