Sacramento, Calif.
- The Nevada Wolf Pack cross country team, led by seniors Emily Myers (17:09) and Caitlin Devitt-Payne (17:21), took third in a field of 10 at the Sacramento Capital Cross Challenge this morning.

Several racers put on their best 5000 meter showing in the chilly race, including collegiate personal records for Myers (27 seconds), Devitt-Payne (37 seconds) and senior Erika Root (eight seconds). Myers moves into a tie for second on the all-time list, while Marissa Suan, a sophomore, makes her debut at 20. McKenna Evans put her name on the freshman 5K all-time list, with her time of 18:01 being good enough for fourth.

The Pack came in third with 81 points behind Pacific-12 school California (51) and West Coast Conference Loyola Marymount (39), who came off a win at their last race.

Nevada will race one more time in Santa Clara on Oct. 17 before hosting the Mountain West Championships at Montreux Golf Course on Oct. 30.
