#3 TCU 4686, #12 Nevada 4641 Get Acrobat Reader

FORT WORTH, Texas - The 12th ranked University of Nevada (3-2, 3-2 PRC) rifle team had its three-match win streak snapped on Saturday falling 4686-4641 at #4 TCU (2-0, 1-0 PRC) in a Patriot Rifle Conference match. All five of the Wolf Pack's matches this season have come against top 20 teams.

"Mitchell and Justin shot great smallbore scores," head coach Fred Harvey said. "It was one of our better small bore performances as we are becoming more consistent. Sarah had a great air rifle score."

The Horned Frogs won the smallbore 2323-2307 led by Rachel Garner's 584 and Sally Li who shot a 583. Pack sophomore Justin Nissen shot a season-high 581 to finish third in the event. Freshman Mitchell Van Patten was close behind with his 580. The team's 2307 is a season best.

TCU scored a 2363-2334 victory in the air rifle. Mindy Miles led the way with her 594 and Li shot 593 to post the top two scores in the event. The Pack's Sarah Jameson shot 589 to finish in a tie for third.


Nevada's next action is Oct. 31 at nationally ranked Ohio State. The then #7 Buckeyes defeated the Pack 4658-4638 in Reno to start the season.
