RENO, Nev. - In their final race of the season before hosting the Mountain West Championships, the Nevada Wolf Pack cross country team is off to Sunnyvale, Calif. for the Bronco Invitational Saturday morning.
The women's 6000 meter race will start at 9:45 a.m. in Baylands Park. Nevada has competed in just one other 6K this season, taking third in the Sundodger Invitational last month. However, head coach
Kirk Elias will keep his top runners in Reno this weekend as they continue their month-long training and preparation for the MW Championships. The rest of the team will compete in the Sunnyvale.
The Wolf Pack has yet to finish below third this season, one of three teams in the Mountain West to accomplish the feat. The other two, New Mexico (first) and Boise State (seventh) are nationally ranked.
Nevada's next race will come on Oct. 30 when they host the 6K Mountain West Championships at Montreux Golf and Country Club in Reno.
