The Nevada women's tennis doubles pair of sophomore Blaga Delic and junior Sheila Morales Hidalgo fell in the consolation bracket championship match this morning to Northwestern after a good showing in the Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships.
The duo lost on the first day of competition to the Georgia team, but moved onto the consolation bracket where they received a first-round bye. The Wolf Pack competitors then upset #5 Texas A&M in a tight 8-7 match on Friday, and earned a walkover win after an injury prevented the Notre Dame team from competing. After waiting the afternoon to see who they would play, the Pack was set for a final match against the doubles pair from Northwestern. However, Delic and Morales Hidalgo were not able to get the final victory, falling 6-1, 6-2.
Next on the Pack's schedule is the Regional Championships, held in Las Vegas, Nev. from Oct. 14-18.
