Albuquerque, N.M. - The University of Nevada women's tennis team defeated the no. 70 ranked North Texas by a score of 4-3 on Saturday afternoon giving the Pack a 2-2 record on the season. The Pack dominated in singles action winning four out of six matches.
In singles action, sophomore
Sheila Morales defeated senior Kseniya Bardabush, by a score of 6-4, 7-5. Senior
Juliette Legendre dominated in her match against Kamilla Galieva. The two fought back and forth battling for three games, giving Legendre the victory, by a score of 6-3, 3-6, 6-6. Fellow senior,
Sheila Smiley ruled the court against Anastasiya Shestakova, by a long score of 6-7(4), 6-4, 6-3. Freshman
Blaga Delic bounced back from yesterday's loss and was lights out defeating sophomore Alexis Thoma, by a score of 6-1, 6-2.
"Today's match was a battle! The ladies beat North Texas, who was ranked no. 70 in the country, for us to come out and compete was great!" head coach

In the history of Nevada Wolf Pack tennis, the Pack is 1-0 against North Texas. The Pack defeated the Mean Green with a 4-3 victory when Nevada was ranked No. 70, which took place on February 10, 2008. The Pack can now go down in the record books as 2-0 against the Mean Green.
The Pack heads out of Albuquerque and back to Reno to get ready for their trip next weekend to Tucson, Ariz. In Tucson, the Pack will compete against The University of Arizona on Friday and Sacramento State on Saturday.
