FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) Gian Clavell scored 21 points and Fred Richardson III added 20 to lead Colorado State in a 98-42 defeat of Nevada on Wednesday night.

Colorado State (16-2, 3-2 Mountain West) held a 55-12 lead at the half behind 54.3-percent shooting from the field, and 9 of 14 from behind the arc. Clavell scored 17 points, and Richardson and Daniel Bejarano added 10 apiece in the first half.

Nevada was held to 5-of-30 shooting in the first half and had 12 turnovers.

Tiel Daniels scored 13 points and Stanton Kidd chipped in 12 as the Rams finished at 56.9-percent shooting from the floor, and made 13 3-pointers.

AJ West scored 10 points to lead the Wolf Pack (6-10, 2-2). Nevada improved to 18-of-55 shooting (32.7 percent) by games end, and had six second-half turnovers.

Nevada is 6-10 overall and 2-2 in Mountain West play after falling 98-42 at Colorado State (16-2, 3-2 MW) tonight.

Nevada hosts Utah State on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

The Wolf Pack has lost its last two games after starting MW play 2-0.

The 42 points is a season-low.

AJ West was the only Pack player in double figures with 10 points and tied for game-high honors with nine rebounds.

West was one rebound short of posting his fourth consecutive double-double.

West blocked two shots and has a block in every game this season and two more 11 games.

Nevada did not lead in the game.

The Pack had a season-low three assists.

Michael Perez made his 48th consecutive start and D.J. Fenner has appeared in all 48 games during his Pack career.

Nevada allowed season highs in points (98), field goals made (37), field goal percentage (56.9) and three-point field goals made (13). CSU is the first team to shoot over 50 percent against the Wolf Pack this season.

West has scored in double figures in a six consecutive games, 11 on the season and 18 in his career. The 11 double figure scoring games this season is tied with Marqueze Coleman for tops on the team.

For the third time this season all 13 players saw action.

Head coach David Carter is now 95-85 in his sixth season at Nevada and 15-23 in his third season of MW play.
