COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Nevada junior first baseman Austin Byler has earned Mountain West Baseball Player of the Week honors for games played from May 5-11, 2014. It is the second time this season that both players have been selected.

? Led Nevada to a 3-2 record last week.
? Hit for an average of .500 with nine hits, seven runs scored and seven RBI over the five-game stretch. His slugging percentage for the week was 1.167, while he got on base at a .583 clip.
? Started the week on Tuesday with a 4-for-5 performance in the Wolf Pack's 10-inning 6-5 win over UC Davis. Scored one run, drove in four and hit one double and one home run.
? His four hits in the game tied a single-game career-high. His sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th inning tied the game at five.
? On Wednesday, went 2-for-4 with one run scored, two RBI, one double and one home run in a 6-3 victory over Saint Mary's. His two-run homer in the fifth inning broke a 2-2 tie and gave Nevada the lead.
? Opened up the MW series with New Mexico on Friday going 2-for-3 with three runs scored, one double, one home run and one RBI in a 5-4 loss.
? Followed up in the second game of the series with a 1-for-3 performance with one run scored and one walk in the 6-5 win.
? Finished the weekend with one walk and one run scored in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the first-place Lobos.
? Was the starting first baseman in all five contests, going errorless in 58 total chances.
