FORT WORTH, Texas - The University of Nevada rifle team currently ranked 11th in the latest Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association poll dropped three matches to a pair of top five teams at the TCU Rifle Range in Fort Worth, Texas over the weekend.

Friday the Wolf Pack lost 4654-4617 to #3 Jacksonville State University. Freshman Stephani Cooksey and Emily Capaul each shot 589 in air rifle to finish in a tie for first. Nevada was outscored 2340-2332 in air rifle and 2314-2285 in smallbore. Another freshman Sarah Jameson led the way in smallbore with a 575 and yet another freshman Justin Nissen shot 574.

Nevada shot 4602 on Sunday with TCU posting a 4690 and JSU 4679. Nissen led the team with a 576 in smallbore followed by Jameson's 572. Cooksey had the Pack's top score in smallbore of 588 to finish fourth in the event.

Next action for the Pack is Nov. 15 at the Ohio State Tournament.
