Meet Results 
STOCKTON, Calif. - The Nevada swimming and diving team opened the season in stellar form, winning six events in a quad-meet against Pacific, Fresno Pacific and Simon Fraser. The Wolf Pack earned 199 points to defeat all three opponents.
"The team had a very unified, spirited presence," said head coach Abby Steketee. "The swimmers did an excellent job making technical adjustments through the meet. Overall, it was a step forward and we're focused on taking another step forward tomorrow against Fresno State."
The Wolf Pack opened the meet with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay as freshman

Teresa Baerens posted a time of 1:45.86. Nevada also won the 400-yard freestyle relay as Kusserow, freshman
Josefin Eriksen, Turner and Baerens finished in 3:29.92, winning in nearly three seconds.
Turner - hailing from Bolton, England - also placed first in the 100-yard backstroke in 59.17 in the third event of the meet. Freshman Mary Smithen placed third in the event, posting a time of 59.92. Freshman
Kate Hofmeyer of Adelaide, Australia, won the 200-yard backstroke in 2:02.15. Freshman
Josefin Eriksen placed third behind Hofmeyer in the 200 back in 2:04.83, while senior
Luiza Vieira placed fourth in 2:06.17.
Susserow earned medalist honors in the 200-yard butterfly. The Buehl, Garmany, native posted a time of 2:04.10 to win by over one second. Li, who advanced to the NCAA Championships in three events last season, won the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:16.14 and the 200-yard IM in 2:03.70.
Riley Hilbrandt, a sophomore from Saginaw, Mich., finished runner-up in the 200 breast with a time of 2:21.11. Senior
Michelle Forman placed runner-up in both the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:26.98) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:06.87). Baerens also placed runner-up in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:51.50 and in the 100-yard freestyle in 51.76. Li placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing in 1:04.51. Turner placed third in the 50-yard freestyle in 24.57. Kusserow finished second in the 100 fly in 56.96.
Nevada will be in action tomorrow in a dual meet against Fresno State in Fresno, Calif. The meet will get underway at noon (PT) while the action will be streamed live on the Mountain West Network.
