RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada women's tennis team advance the doubles duo Sheila Morales and Clarisse Treand on day two of the 2014 USTA/ITA Regional Championships Hosted by New Mexico.

In doubles play, pair Sheila Smiley and Blaga Delic dominated against Colorado State's Mollie Cooper and Aina Hernandez, by a score of 8-3. In their next round, they were defeated by Denver University's Gracia Mboko and Sonja Radosevic, by a score of 8-2.

Sheila Morales and Clarisse Treand had an undefeated day together on the court. They powered through Utah's Jena Cheng and Elena Najera, by a score of 8-7. In their second match of the day, they defeated the no. three seed Dominique Dulski and Natasha Smith of New Mexico, by a score of 8-6.

In singles action, Clarisse Treand defeated Montana State's Wanda Holopainen, by a score of 7-5, 7-5. Treand's next round of play was defeated by Utah's Lucia Kovarcikova, by a score of 6-2, 7-5. Sheila Smiley powered through a tough match defeating Colorado State's Aina Hernandez, by a score 6-4, 3-6, 6-1. However, Smiley fell in the next round to no. 17 seed Natasha Smith of New Mexico, by a score of 6-3, 7-5.

Blaga Delic had an outstanding day, winning two out of three matches. Delic defeated Air Force's Tiffany Tran, by a score of 5-7, 6-2, 7-5, and UTEP's Jeannez Daniel, bye a score of 6-2, 6-1. In her third and final match of the day, she fell to Galina Bykova of Idaho, by a score of 6-2, 6-1.

In the consolation singles draw, Sara Korzeniecki was defeated by UNLV's Anett Ferenczi-Bako, by a score of 6-3, 6-2. Monika Magusiak was overcome by Montana State's Laura Middel, by a score of 6-0, 7-5.

The Pack will start back up tomorrow for day three of the tournament.
