El PASO, Texas - The University of Nevada split four Patriot Rifle Conference matches last weekend at UTEP. The Wolf Pack currently tied for 14th in the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association poll defeated #20 UTEP 4597-4481 on Saturday and 4605-4528 on Sunday. Saturday the Pack lost 4633-4597 to #10 Ohio State and 4649-4605 the next day.

The Pack stands at 3-2 on the season and in the PRC. Sunday's 4605 is the top score of the season for Nevada.

Junior Greta Ochsner led the Pack on Saturday shooting 575 in smallbore and 584 in air rifle. The 575 was the second best score in the event behind Deanna Binnie from OSU who shot 578. Ochsner's 584 in air rifle was tied for the third best total in the event. Freshman Sarah Jameson shot 574 in smallbore and 578 in air rifle. Another of the Pack newcomers, Justin Nissen posted a score of 572 in smallbore and was second on the team with a 582 in air rifle.

Sunday Nissen posted the Pack's best score in smallbore at 574 which was the fifth best score of the day. Jameson's 588 in air rifle was the top score of the day in the event. Ochsner shot 572 in smallbore and 576 in air rifle on day two.

Nevada hosts Air Force Saturday for another PRC match.
