        LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Fighting for its season to continue, the University of Nevada women's        tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision to No. 58 Hawai'i on Friday, in the conclusion of its        first-round match at the 2012 WAC Championships.
        The match began on Thursday, but was suspended with the score tied at three due to high        winds.
        The deciding singles match was at No. 4 between Juliette Legendre and Martina        Kostalova. Legendre won the first set in a tiebreaker, 7-6 (7-3), but fell in the second        6-2. The players played to a 5-5 score in the third before the overnight suspension and        returned to the courts on Friday morning.
        Kostolova was able to complete the comeback with a 7-6 (7-4) win in the third, ending        Nevada's season in the process.
        The Wolf Pack won the doubles point, led by the strong play of Michelle Okhremchuk and Emma Verberne at No. 1. After being        named second-team all-WAC on Thursday evening, the pair collected its seventh-consecutive        win, defeating Barbara Pinterova and Jamie Pawid 9-8 (8-6). Sophie Stevens and Legendre also        won 8-6 at No. 2.
        Nevada's other victories came at the first two singles positions. Okhremchuk beat        Barbara Pinterova 6-2, 3-6 6-3. Verberne bested Katarina Poljakova 6-2, 6-3. Both players        were honored by the WAC on Thursday for their singles play as well, earning first and        second-team honors, respectively.
        Nevada finished the 2012 season at 6-12 overall after its first-round defeat in Las        Cruces.
