SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of Nevada women's tennis team fell 6-1 to San Diego Friday at the Hogan Tennis Center.
The loss dropped Nevada to 3-5, while San Diego improved to 2-6.
The Wolf Pack could not recover from a slow start on campus at San Diego, as the Toreros jumped ahead 1-0 and did not look back.
Nevada's win came from Emma Verberne at the second singles position. She defeated Stephanie Hoffpauir 6-4, 1-0, retired for her second straight win. With the victory, Verberne leveled her singles record in dual play at 4-4.
Nevada will take on Sacramento State 8-5 (4-0 Big Sky), in San Diego at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
