Final Stats

Logan, Utah - The University of Nevada softball team fell 4-0 to Utah State Saturday, coming up a game short of a series sweep of the Aggies at Johnson Field.

Nevada is 12-24 (3-3 WAC) after the loss, while Utah State improved to 10-22 (2-4 WAC).

The Wolf Pack had three hits off Utah State starter Mandy Harmon and loaded the bases with one out in the fifth.

With the count full, Caylin Campbell lined a pitch at Aggies third baseman Tatem Day. She caught the ball at her feet and tagged Emily Seidel at third for the last out of the inning.

Karley Hopkins, Sara Parsons and Seidel had a hit apiece for the Pack in Saturday's game. Parsons doubled in the fourth and was thrown out trying to advance to third on the play.

Bailey Brewer went four innings in a loss to fall to 2-6. She gave up five hits, two earned runs and struck out two. Harmon went seven innings and struck out five with four walks to improve to 5-11.

Nevada will take on San Jose State on April 6 at 3 p.m. at Hixson Park in its next action.
