RENO, Nev. -

In the event that the Wolf Pack men's basketball team earns a postseason berth this year, the University of Nevada will begin taking ticket orders from fans starting on Friday, March 2.

If the Wolf Pack qualifies for the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, a very limited number of tickets (likely less than 250) will be available for purchase. Nevada will use its priority points system to allocate those tickets, and only current Wolf Pack men's basketball season ticketholders will be eligible to purchase NCAA tournament tickets. Qualified individuals will be entitled to the same number of NCAA tickets as they have season tickets, up to a maximum of four. A limited number of tickets will also be set aside for purchase by University of Nevada students with the distribution process to be announced after the selection.

An application is available by clicking here, and applicants must provide an email address, cell phone number as well as credit card information. To be considered for any NCAA tickets if Nevada is selected, fans must return the postseason ticket application by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 9.

Nevada Athletics will also conduct a lottery to give postseason ticket applicants another opportunity to purchase tickets if they do not receive tickets in the initial allocation. Thirty tickets (two per drawn name) will be available through the lottery, which will be conducted using all applicants who did not receive tickets through the initial allocation. All applicants will receive an email notifying them whether they received tickets - either through the initial allocation or the lottery - on Sunday, March 11.

First- and second-round games will be charged up front once the NCAA bracket is announced with no first-round refunds.

Nevada will also attempt to obtain additional tickets from other institutions at the NCAA site in order to accommodate as many Wolf Pack fans as possible. If a block of tickets is received from another school, eligible applicants will be notified via email by Tuesday, March 13.

If Nevada earns a berth in the National Invitation Tournament and is selected to host a game, ticket prices will be $40 for premiere and courtside, $25 for lower concourse, $15 for upper concourse and $5 for students.

Season ticketholders will have the opportunity to purchase the same seats they have for the regular season for the NIT game before tickets go on sale to the general public. Nevada will announce its plan for NIT ticket sales soon after the announcement of the NIT bracket is made.

The 68-team bracket for the 2012 NCAA Basketball Championship will be announced at 3 p.m. Pacific Time Sunday, March 11 on CBS, while the 32-team bracket for the 2012 NIT will be announced at 6 p.m. Pacific Time on ESPNU.
