DAVIS, Calif. -
The University of Nevada track and field team had several solid performances in its outdoor season opener this past weekend at the Aggie Open in Davis, Calif.
Junior Deborah Amoah recorded a leap of 40 feet, 11 inches (12.47 meters) in the triple jump to place second. The mark is less than an inch from her personal outdoor best.
Freshman Kashae Knox had a strong outing in the 100m, clocking in a personal best of 12.02.
Sarah Nichols just missed her personal best mark in the Javelin throw, recording a 145'02" to finish second.
The team will head to Sacramento, Calif. Saturday to participate in the Hornet Invitational.
