Nevada jumped out on top of the Toreros with a run in the bottom of the first inning. Karley Hopkins doubles and eventually moved to third and then scored on Ashley Butera's RBI single.

Nevada seemingly broke things open in the third. Leading 1-0, Hopkins started things off with a single to center. With one out, Lauren Lastrapes blasted her third home run of the season to make it a 3-0 lead. Butera then walked with two outs to get things going again. Sara Parsons followed with a double to score Butera. Parsons would then advance to third on a wild pitch and score on an error.

But USD came back in the top of the fourth to get all four runs back and chase Nevada starter Mallary Darby from the game and make it a 5-4 ballgame.

In the fifth, Megan Fincher led off with a solo home run, a shot to left. The Pack added another run as Bailey Brewer walked, advanced to second on a sacrifice by Chelsea Barilli, moved to third on a passed ball and scored on an error.

The Toreros got those two runs back in the top of the sixth but Nevada began to open it up again in the sixth. Hopkins drew a bases loaded walk to score one run and another scored on Caylin Campbell's single which made it a 9-6 game with the bases still loaded and one out. At that point, the game was called due to darkness.

The Wolf Pack notched a pair of outfield assists in the game and had a third OF assist taken away with an obstruction call by the home plate umpire.

Against Wisconsin, Nevada fell behind early but battled back into it. The Badgers scored two in the first and three in the second to go up 5-0 with all five runs coming as unearned off Nevada starter Mallary Darby.

Wisconsin made it 6-0 in the fourth before Nevada got on the board in the bottom of the inning on Bailey Brewer's RBI double that plated Ashley Butera, who had walked.

In the fifth, Nevada got going as Karley Hopkins led off with a double and the next five batters each followed with singles and Nevada scored three runs in the frame to make it a 6-4 game.

Wisconsin extended the lead to 8-4 in the seventh and though Nevada rallied in the seventh with a run and two on base, the rally came up short.

In the first game of the day, San Diego won a see-saw battle against Wisconsin, 10-9. The Toreros trailed 7-0 at one point and then scored nine in the fifth to take the lead. Wisconsin came back to tie things at 9 but Lauren Tomey drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the seventh to win it for San Diego.
