EUGENE, Ore. - Coming off a win over Seattle, the University of Nevada women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Oregon Sunday.
The loss dropped Nevada to 2-3, while Oregon improved to 6-2. The Ducks took each of the doubles matches contested to jump in front 1-0 in the match.
Newcomer Rymma Maslova earned the lone point for the Wolf Pack, winning at No. 6 singles. She beat Rabea Stuckeman 6-4, 6-4. The win was her fourth in dual play, which leads all Pack players.
Fighting until the final point in her match, Michelle Okhremchuk lost at No. 1 singles 4-6, 6-4, 11-9. She was bested by Oregon's Julia Metzger at No. 1 singles.
Nevada will take to the court next at UNLV, taking on its in-state rival March 2.
