NAMPA, Idaho -

Deborah Amoah and Angelica Earls led the University of Nevada Track and Field team to several wins at the Boise State Team Challenge which took place Friday and Saturday.

Deborah Amoah finished with two top 10 Nevada performances, two first place finishes, and two personal best marks in the 60m hurdles (8.69) and triple jump (12.35m). Amoah also took second place in the long jump event with a 5.71m finish.

"She executed today, as her performances showed," Head coach Shantel Twiggs said. "It was great to see her achieve those results. I am just thrilled, you can't ask for anything more from your student athletes.

Earls finished the challenge with a new school record in the 60m and 200m events. Earls recorded a 7.45 in the 60m and 24.38 in the 200m. Her 200m finish puts her at third best in the WAC, while her 60m time is good for second best. Earls finished in third place in the 60m.

"What a day for execution, the ladies really put some amazing performances together."

La Tijera Avery followed up her impressive showing last week at the New Balance Invitational with a third place finish in high jump, clearing 1.72m.

Samantha Diaz was the lone Nevada member who travelled to Seattle to participate in the Husky Classic at the University of Washington. Diaz posted a personal best in the mile, with a time of 4:42.46.

"I can't wait for the next meet to see which athlete will step up with another solid performance. I feel blessed to be their coach."

The team will have the week off before participating in the WAC Indoor Championships on March 2
