RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada men's basketball team will travel to New York to play its 2012 Sears BracketBusters game at Iona College on Feb. 18. The 1 p.m. game will air on either ESPN or ESPN2 along with ESPN3.
The?Wolf Pack (18-3) has won 15 consecutive games and sits atop the Western Athletic Conference standings with a 7-0 record. ?Iona College is 17-5 on the season and 9-2 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference standings. The Gaels are tied for first in the MAAC?with Loyola and Manhattan. Iona is 5-1 at home this season.
"It's a great opportunity to play a quality opponent on the road," said Nevada head coach David Carter. "The exposure that the BracketBusters gives teams on ESPN is a chance for schools like Nevada and Iona to impress the NCAA Selection Committee."
