RENO, Nev. - University of Nevada senior pitcher Timothy Culligan earned second-team All-West Coast League honors pitching for the Walla Walla Sweets in Walla Walla, Wash. this past summer. Culligan will play his senior season for the Wolf Pack this year.

For the Sweets, Culligan went 4-3 with a 2.22 ERA. He topped the team with eight starts, 56.2 innings pitched, 38 strikeouts and four wins. The Sweets advanced to postseason for the first time and reached the WCL?Championship before falling in the title series. ?The club ended the season 33-31. Culligan was also selected to play in the WCL?All-Star game and tossed a scoreless inning as his East squad won 4-2.

As a junior for the Pack last season, Culligan went 1-3 with a 7.84 ERA in 17 appearance with two being starts. He struckout 16 and walked just seven in his 20.2 innings on the mound.
