Stassi Named WAC Hitter of the Week: Brock Stassi was named the Verizon Western Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week for April 18-24. Stassi, a senior from Yuba City, Calif. (Yuba City HS), hit .562 (9-for-16) with four runs scored, four RBI, two doubles and was intentionally walked twice as Nevada swept a four-game WAC series from New Mexico State. Stassi finished the week with a .688 slugging percentage and a .611 on base percentage. The senior had multiple hits in all four games starting three contests at first base and the final game on the mound before moving to designated hitter. Stassi also earned his first win of the season on the mound, pitching 5.0 innings with four strikeouts.

Stassi Becoming an On-Base Machine: Senior Brock Stassi drew six walks and posted a .667 on-base percentage vs. UNLV (3/4-3/6) and has reached base in all but three of the Pack's 39 games this season ... Wolf Pack-Aces Exhibition Raises $15,000 For Dugout Club: The University of Nevada and Reno Aces Baseball Club played the Silver City Classic, an exhibition game at Aces Ballpark Tuesday Apr. 5. The game marked the second year in a row the two teams played an exhibition contest just prior to the start of the Aces season and for the second time $15,000 was raised for the Nevada Dugout Club. The Aces won this year's game 9-3 and last year's 11-1.
