RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada softball team welcomes New Mexico State to Hixson Park this weekend, for a three-game WAC series beginning Friday at 3 p.m. The two teams will also play a doubleheader Saturday beginning at 1 p.m.
Nevada enters the series at 10-25 overall (1-8 WAC). The Wolf Pack is looking to win its first conference series of the year, and will have to do so against the co-conference leading Aggies. They come to Reno with a 29-12 (8-1 WAC) record after taking two out of three from Fresno State in Las Cruces their last time out.
Entering the second half of the WAC schedule, the Pack is looking to move up in the standings as the WAC Tournament approaches. This year's event will be held in Fresno, Calif., May 11-14.
