RENO, Nev, - The Nevada baseball team scored a season-high six runs, but it was not enough as Nevada lost 10-6 to UNLV today.

The Pack scored six runs on ten hits, four being extra base hits, in its best offensive showing of the year. First baseman Hugo Hernandez hit his first home run of the year and his first in a Wolf Pack uniform. The two-run shot came in the bottom of the fifth and made it 6-4 UNLV.

Brian Barnett was a triple shy of hitting for the cycle in his first three hit game of the season. Barnett doubled in the second inning, singled in the fifth and hit his third home run of the year in the bottom of the seventh inning to cut UNLV's lead to 10-6. Barnett was 3-5 with one RBI for the day.

Brock Stassi reached base four times, singling in the third inning and walking in the first, fifth and sixth. Joe Kohan also had two hits for the Pack adding a triple in the fourth and a single in the fifth.

RHP Tom Jameson lost in his third start of the year giving up six runs on eight hits in four innings.

Mark Joukoff will get the start tomorrow as the Pack looks to take the final game of the weekend series. Joukoff gave up three runs in six innings last Sunday at Loyola Marymount.
