Box Score SEATTLE - The University of Nevada (5-15) lost the final game of a three-game series to Washington (6-15) 5-4 Sunday afternoon.  The Huskies won the series taking the final two games after winning 4-3 Saturday.  The Wolf Pack won 2-1 on Friday.  With the loss the Pack are 5-15 while UW improved to 6-15.

With the game tied at 3-3 UW scored single runs in the bottom of the fourth and sixth innings to take a 5-3 lead.  Nevada scratched out a run in the top of the ninth inning when shortstop Brady Shipley reached on a three base error and scored on center fielder Tommy Niebergall's sacrifice fly to make the final score 5-4.

Nevada scored twice in the top of the first inning to take an early lead.  First baseman Brock Stassi and third baseman Garrett Yrigoyen had RBI hits in the inning.  UW scored two in the bottom of the inning to tie the game.  A bases loaded walk and a hit by pitch scored the two runs.

In the top of the second inning catcher Carlos Escobar, Jr. hit his first home run of the year to put the Pack on top 3-2.  An error in the bottom of the third inning led to the Huskies scoring a third run to tie game at 3-3 and they added single runs in the fourth and sixth innings.

Mark Joukoff (1-5) was tagged with the loss allowing four runs, three earned in 3.2 innings on the mound.  Jacob Clem (2-4) pitched five innings to get the win as he surrendered three runs on seven hits.  Adam Cimber (1) pitched the final 1.2 innings to earn his first save of the season.

Left fielder Nick Melino (3-for-4,R) led the Pack with three hits.  Stassi (2-for-3,R,RBI) and Yrigoyen (2-for-3,RBI) had two hits each.  Niebergall , Escobar, Stassi and Yrigoyen drove in runs.

Jacob Lamb (3-for-4,R,2RBI) led the UW offense with three hits and two RBI.

Nevada was scheduled to play at Seattle University on Monday but  Bannerwood Park, the home field of the Redhawks is not playable as a result of rain.  SU's scheduled three-game series at Peccole Park in Reno, Apr. 8-10 will now become a four-game series.

The Pack's next game is Apr. 1 when Utah Valley University comes to Peccole Park for a 6 p.m. game.  It is the first of nine consecutive home games for the Wolf Pack.
