RENO, Nev. - Eight University of Nevada softball games, as well as the Western Athletic Conference Tournament, will be broadcast on Fox Sports Radio 1450 AM this season, beginning with this weekend's series at Boise State.

In addition to the radio broadcasts, all road games throughout the regular season can be heard via nevadawolfpack.com. Every home game at Hixson Park will feature a video streaming product on the website.

"I'm excited that our fans will again have the opportunity to follow the Wolf Pack on radio and online during conference play," Nevada coach Matt Meuchel said. "We're excited for WAC play to get started this weekend. The WAC will be extremely competitive, week-in and week-out, this season."

The 2011 Wolf Pack softball radio schedule will begin when Nevada travels to Boise State to take on the Broncos in a three-game set.  The teams will play one game Friday at 2 p.m., and a doubleheader Saturday, with the first game at noon and the second game beginning approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.

Each broadcast will begin with the First Independent Bank Pre-Game Show 15 minutes prior to first pitch, and will conclude with a 15 minute post-game show sponsored by Heritage Bank. Chad Hartley will return as the play-by-play voice of the Pack for the third straight year.

Following the games at Boise State, Nevada's doubleheader with the Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine on April 9 will also be carried from Honolulu.  The first game of that series will be available streaming at nevadawolfpack.com only. The radio schedule also includes the Wolf Pack regular-season finale, a three-game series at Fresno State May 6-7.

All postseason games featuring the Wolf Pack, including all games at the WAC Tournament in Fresno, Calif., May 11-14, will be carried on Fox Sports Radio 1450 AM as well.
