IRVINE, CALIF. - The University of Nevada baseball team dropped its season opener 17-4 at UC Irvine Friday afternoon. Starting pitcher Tom Jameson lasted only 1 1/3 innings, giving up eight runs (four earned) on six hits and two walks, before being relieved by Tyler Rogstad.
