RENO, Nev. - Single game tickets for Nevada men's and women's basketball games go on sale Tuesday, Nov. 1. The men will play 17 home games and the women have 15 home contests during the 2011-12 season.
Men's single game tickets range in price from $13 to $20 per game. Women's single game tickets are $5 and $8 per game.
Season ticket plans are still available starting at $185 for the men and a women's season ticket package is $40. Several additional men's ticket packages are available including 10, eight and five game plans along with group discounts for parties of 15 or more. New this season is a special government employee Pack pass for only $595. The pass includes four season tickets to all home men's basketball games and a pass for you and three guests to all women's basketball, softball and baseball games this year. The men's basketball seats will be located in the upper corners of Lawlor Events Center.
The men have four home games in November starting with the season opener against Missouri State on the 11th. Pacific, Prairie View A&M and Longwood also venture into Lawlor Events?Center during the first month of the season. Washington, UC?Riverside, Portland and Cedarville come to Reno in December. Western Athletic Conference schools San Jose State, Hawai`i, Utah State, Idaho, New Mexico State and Louisiana Tech will play at Nevada this season. Nonconference schools Nebraska-Omaha and Cal State Bakersfield will also play at Lawlor in 2012.
The women begin the regular season hosting Saint Martin's on Nov. 13. The first of two tournaments, the Nugget Classic on Nov. 25-26 has the Wolf Pack playing Butler and either Penn State or Iowa State on day two. Pacific is in Reno on Nov. 30 and visits Oregon Lawlor Events Center Dec. 14. The Peppermill Holiday Classic is set for Dec. 29-30 with Nevada taking on Long Island and either Oklahoma State or Mississippi State the second day. UNLV closes out the nonconference home schedule on Jan. 2. The women will host the same seven WAC schools as the men in 2012.
The first chance to see both teams in action will be next week for a pair of free exhibition games. The men host Chico State on Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. , and the women will take on Notre Dame De Namur on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 7 p.m.
In conjunction with the men's exhibition game on Nov. 8 is an open house in the Silver &?Blue Room located inside Lawlor Events Center. All fans are invited to come and enjoy free food, learn about open seats and ticket packages. Fans may select their seats for any season or partial packages including women's basketball. The open house begins at 5 p.m. with tipoff for the game set for 7 p.m. Men's head coach David Carter and women's head coach Jane Albright will speak during the open house.
