LAS VEGAS - The University of Nevada women's tennis team continued its strong play on day two if the ITA Regionals, winning a total of five matches.

Continuing their run through the main singles draw, Michelle Okhremchuk and Emma Verberne each won their round of 16 matches. The wins mean both will compete in the quarterfinals Friday.

Okhremchuk, seeded fourth at this years' event, dispatched Desiree Tran of BYU in straight sets. She lost only one game in her match Thursday, winning 6-1, 6-0.

Verberne is seeded 14th in this years' main draw. She moved past Almudena Sanz of Idaho in similarly easy fashion, winning her first set at love and her second by a score of 6-2.

In the consolation singles draw, three Wolf Pack players earned victories. Faith Bassiouny, Gabriela Eufrasio and Juliette Legendre all moved into round two.

Consolation matches, as well as main draw matches, will continue to be played Friday.
