Coming off a year when an ankle injury limited his ability to perform, senior wide receiver Chris Wellington is trying to be himself and someone else at the same time in 2010.

He wants to be the same easy going guy at home, making low budget music with his teammates, laughing and joking, not taking life off the field to seriously.

"I have a lot of music equipment at my house," Wellington said.  "We just mess around, have a good time with it."

On the field, he wants to be a reliable receiver, one who makes big catches, who his teammates can rely on.

"Last season I didn't miss many games but I just wasn't right," he said.  "I couldn't get out of breaks, I'm just really glad I feel 100 percent this year."

A guy that said he can be social, but also likes time to himself, Wellington will make every effort to be a team player in 2010. When he needs to recharge, he will take time to recover.

This year he might be doing the same things off the field, but on the turf he hopes to be ready to go every Saturday.  Ready to make plays, to help his team achieve its goals.

This season, Wellington hopes to do so each and every weekend.
"If you don't give yourself time to relax and recover, it can really cost you," Wellington said. "I'll make sure I take care of myself."
