RENO, Nev. – Only a handful of spots remain in the Wolf Pack Softball Elite Camp and the General Camp is also approaching capacity, head coach Matt Meuchel said today.

There is no official deadline for registration but the camps will be closed at 72 participants for each. Meuchel said only a few spots remain for the Elite Camp and that the General Camp is beginning to near capacity. The camps both run June 21-24 and are held at Hixson Park, the home of the Wolf Pack.

The Elite Camp is for girls entering grades 9 through 12 and the camp will focus primarily on improving each participant’s skills in individual and team situations. A large portion of the camp will include live game situations. It runs in the mornings from 8 until noon.

The General Camp is for girls entering grades 3 through 8 and offers young players the opportunity to learn, practice and improve overall softball skills. Various competitions and games will be held during the camp. Each camper will receive one-on-one time with the coaching staff. It runs in the afternoon from 1 until 4:30 p.m.

The camp is conducted by Meuchel and his Wolf Pack coaching staff, including pitching coach Melanie Meuchel and hitting coach Andy Dominique. Current and former Wolf Pack players assist with the camp and coaches from colleges around the country will also be part of the instructional staff. All campers will receive a T-shirt as part of the registration fee, which is $160 for Elite campers and $140 for General campers.
