ABOUT NEVADA
Week 13 of the 2010 softball season brings the Nevada softball team back home as the Wolf Pack concludes Western Athletic Conference play and the regular season with a three-game series against Boise State ... The Wolf Pack is 16-26 overall and 3-14 in WAC play while Boise State enters with a 24-29 overall mark and an 11-7 record in league  play ... The teams will play a doubleheader Friday and a single game on Saturday ... Nevada’s five seniors will be honored on Senior Day in a pre-game ceremony ... Nevada is still alive in a berth for next week’s WAC Tournament, which will be held in Las Cruces, N.M. ... In order to qualify for the tournament, Nevada must sweep this weekend AND New Mexico State has to lose at least twice at San Jose State – this is the only scenario in which the Wolf Pack qualifies for the tournament ... Nevada had three players on the Preseason All-WAC first team in Katie Holverson, Sam Bias and Noelle Micka ... Holverson, last year’s WAC Pitcher of the Year, is on the initial watch list for the USA Softball National Collegiate Player of the Year Award ... The Wolf Pack returns five position-player starters and both pitchers from last year ... This is the second season under head coach Matt Meuchel ... Last year, the Wolf Pack went 40-19 in 2009 and won the WAC Championship with a 15-5 mark ... Nevada concluded the 2009 season at the NCAA Regional in Palo Alto, Calif.

ABOUT THIS SERIES
Nevada and Boise State have met just three times in history as Boise State debuted its softball program last season ... The Wolf Pack swept the three-game series in Boise last season and thus owns a 3-0 advantage all-time against the Broncos ... Boise State is coached by Erin Thorpe in her second season.

Last year, Wolf Pack radio debuted on the radio in Northern Nevada and a select number of games will again be broadcast this year. Ten games have already aired with the next scheduled broadcasts coming in at the WAC Tournament May 12-15. Any additional postseason games will also be carried.
