RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada track and field team will compete in the 2010 WAC Outdoor Championships May 12-15 at the Jim Mize Track and Field Complex in Ruston, La.
Eight women's teams will compete for the 2010 title. Nevada is coming off a second-place finish at the 2009 WAC Championships, the Pack's best finish since the 2007 season when Nevada also placed second. La Tech's women have won the past five WAC Outdoor Championships.
Heading into the WAC Championships, Nevada has 24 student-athletes in the top-10 in events this season.
This season, the heptathlon will take place Wednesday and Thursday. Field event finals and running event prelims begin on Friday.
