Luke Babbitt is this week's Wolf Pack Athlete of the Week, presented by McDonald's for the week of Mar. 1-7.
Babbitt, a sophomore out of Reno, Nev. (Galena HS) Scored 23 points and pulled down 9 boards in a 100-92 win over New Mexico State on Thursday. He followed that up by scoring 29 points, grabbing seven rebounds, and hitting 4-5 3-point shots in a 79-68 win over Louisiana Tech on Saturday night. The wins helped Nevada earn the number two seed in this week's WAC Tournament being held at Lawlor Events Center. Additionally, Babbitt was named the WAC's Player of the Year for his efforts on the court.
