Pack to Play Aces In Exhibition Contest:  The Reno Aces Baseball Club and the University of Nevada baseball team will play an exhibition game at 6:05 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6 at Aces Ballpark, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the University of Nevada Dugout Club.  Tickets for this special event are available at the Aces Ballpark Box Office or by calling (775) 334-7000. Ticket prices will be $13 for adults and $7 for children.TEAM:  Head coach Gary Powers is in his 28th season and is the longest tenured coach in the history of Nevada athletics ... Powers won his 800th game at Nevada last season when the Pack defeated Oregon 2-1 on March 15, 2009...Powers is 13 games from coaching his 1500th at Nevada...Nevada ranks second in hitting (.326), third in pitching (5.06 ERA) and third in fielding (.965) in the WAC ...Nevada opened the season with eight in a row on the road and posted a 5-3 mark...15 of the Pack's first 21 games will be played away from Reno...Nevada was picked to finish 6th in the preseason coaches poll.

AT THE PLATE:  DH/P-Brock Stassi was named WAC Hitter and Collegebaseballinsider.com West Region Player of the Week for Feb. 15-21 after he hit .818 (9-for-11) with 6 runs scored, a double, 2 home runs and 5 RBI...Stassi had hits in six consecutive at bats in games 1 and 2 of the Santa Clara series to start the season...Stassi leads the WAC in on base percentage (.593) and is second in hitting (.442)... Stassi started at DH and pitcher for the first time in a game at CSUB(3/13)...Stassi's first hit of 2009 and 2010 were home runs...SS-Kevin Rodland, CF-Westley Moss, 1B-Shaun Kort and OF-Brian Barnett have started all 14 games this seasonn Barnett is the only one that has not started at the same position playing both left and right field...Rodland, Moss and Barnett have hit in spots 1, 2 and 4 in the lineup in all 14 games and Kort had hit third until the final game at CSUB when he batted 5th and Stassi hit third...Rodland(10-of-11) and Moss(10-of-13) lead the WAC with 10 stolen bases each...Barnett's solo home run on the first pitch of the 2nd inning in game 2 at CSUB(3/13) accounted for the only run of the game in the 1-0 Pack win...Kort and Barnett are tied for the team lead with 3 home runs and 16 RBI each...IF/OF-Nick Leid has started the last 9 games, one at second base, two in left field and six at third base...Leid is batting .419(13-for-31) with 9 runs scored, 8 RBI, 5 doubles and a home run during a current 8-game hit streak which is the longest active streak on the team and tied with Moss for the longest of the season...Moss hit .588(20-for-34) with 9 runs scored, a home run and 5 RBI during his 8-game hit streak that ended at CSUB(3/13)...3B-Garrett Yrigoyen has started 8-of-14 games at third base...Moss hit his first home run at any level of baseball in game 2 at Pacific (2/26)...2B-Joe Kohan started the final 2 games of the CSUB series at second base and also played some at shortstop...OF-Ronnie Mitchell was 3-for-5, with two doubles in his first collegiate start in right field in the final game of the Pacific series...Mitchell has taken over as the left hand hitting right fielder in his first season at Nevada...Freshman 2B-Cullen Mahoney has started 7-for-14 games at second base playing primarily vs. right handed pitchers...C-Michael Turay has started 10-of-14 games behind the plate...2009 1st-team All-WAC DH-Nick Melino collected his first hit of the season in game 2 vs. UCA as a pinch hitter...OF-Brett Hart missed 4 games due to illness but has returned to play in 4 of the last 6 games...Hart was 4-for-4 with 3 RBI in his first start of the year at Santa Clara(2/20).

ON THE MOUND:  LHP-Brock Stassi leads the Pack with 3 wins which is also tied for first in the WAC...Stassi struck out a career-high 11 in a 1-0 victory at CSUB(3/13) tossing 7 shutout innings...Stassi(1.82ERA), RHP-Jeremy Cole(1.93ERA) and LHP-Chris Garcia(2.20ERA) rank 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively in ERA in the WAC...Cole(.216), Garcia(.233) and Stassi(.256) are 3rd, 6th and 9th respectively in opponent batting average in the conference...Garcia missed his last start at CSUB due to a sore arm and his status for this week is unknown at this time...RHP-Beau Witsoe has started a team high 4 games and his two wins is second on the squad...Cole and RHP-Tyler Graham lead the team with 2 saves which is also tied for second in the WAC...Twice Graham has recorded two inning saves this season at Santa Clara (2/19) and at UC Davis (3/1)...Cole's saves have also been longer outings, 3 innings at Santa Clara(2/20) and two innings at CSUB(3/13)...Stassi is third in the WAC with 24.2 innings pitched...Garcia earned the win at Pacific allowing one run on five hits and struck out seven which is one off his career high...Graham, Cole and RHP-Jayson McClaren lead the team 5 appearances each...RHP-Rickey Denham made his third start of the season in the final game at CSUB and received a no decision.
