Nevada designated hitter Brock Stassi has been named Collegebaseballinsder.com West Region Player of the Week of the Week. Stassi also earned WAC Hitter of the Week honors for his play the opening weekend.
Stassi, a junior from Yuba City, Calif. (Yuba City HS), helped the Wolf Pack to a 2-1 record last week at Santa Clara. Stassi hit .818 (9-for-11) with six runs scored, a double, two home runs and five RBI in three games. In one stretch, Stassi had hits in six consecutive plate appearances. He finished with multiple hits all three games. On the weekend, he had a 1.000 slugging percentage and a .875 on base percentage.
