Why did you choose Nevada?
I chose Nevada because it felt like home. Granted, I grew up only 30 miles away, but the hominess is a feeling that comes from the people you're with, not your geographic location.
What has been a highlight of your career at Nevada?
The highlight of my Nevada experience was definitely the trip to the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA. As far as competition goes, making the all-west region team in the hammer throw and being only six inches from an automatic national berth was something that I am proud of and aim to improve upon.
What are your goals for this season?
Because I am redshirting, even if I do break any Nevada school records, it won't officially be broken; however, I don't think there is any harm in trying anyway... This season I would like to qualify for the USATF national championships in the hammer and/or discus, and potentially make the finals at that meet.
What meet are you most looking forward to this year?
I am looking forward to the national championships personally, but I also think it will be exciting to cheer my team on throughout the season and on the conference level.
