RENO, Nev. - Swimmer Chavisa Thaveesupsoonthorn will travel to Guangzhou, China for the 2010 Asian Games. This is Thaveesupsoonthorn's second time competing at the games. The sophomore will swim the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke as well as the medley relay for her native country of Thailand.
Thaveesupsoonthorn joined the Nevada swim team in spring 2010 and made an immediate impact. She swam a personal best 4:21.42 in the 400-yard IM to finish second at the 2010 Western Athletic Conference Championship and earned All-WAC honors in her first season with the Wolf Pack.
Thaveesupsoonthorn has remained one of the Wolf Pack's top swimmers this season, recording 11 individual top-three finishes in Nevada's first six meets of the season, including seven individual wins.
