RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada divers will travel to Tucson, Ariz. to compete in the third annual Wildcat Diving Invitational. The invitational is hosted by the No. 7 Arizona Wildcats, starting Friday, Nov. 19 and extending through Sunday, Nov. 21.
The Wolf Pack divers will compete against athletes from a number of schools, including No. 1 Stanford, No. 6 Southern California, No. 7 Arizona, No. 16 Wisconsin and No. 23 San Diego State. In addition to Nevada, other Western Athletic Conference teams attending the invitational include Boise State, Fresno State, Hawai'i and San Jose State.
Nevada's diving corps is led by freshman Grace Huang (Kaohsiung City, Taiwan) and junior Aniesa Debaji (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada). Huang, a 2010 Verizon WAC Diver of the Week honoree, has finished in the top-two on the 1-meter and 3-meter in each of Nevada's dual meets this season. She also holds the team's top score on the 1-meter (306.60) and 3-meter (350.10) this season. Debaji has recorded a top-three finish on both boards in each of the Wolf Pack's dual meets this season. She has also recorded the team's second-highest score on the 1-meter (284.03) and 3-meter (324.40) this season.
