STANFORD, Calif. - The University of Nevada swim team scored 22 points to take fourth at the George Haines Invitational in Stanford, Calif. Friday.  Fifth ranked Cal finished first with 224 points, and #1 Stanford placed second with 208.  WAC foe San Jose State took third with 64 points. 

Sophomore Mengjiao Mi (Beijing, China) was the Wolf Pack's top swimmer on the day, taking first in her heat and second overall in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:54.01.  Mi also took 10th in the 100-yard freestyle (51.54). 

Chavisa Thaveesupsoonthorn (So., Bangkok, Thailand) also scored points for Nevada by recording a pair of top-15 finishes.  Thaveesupsoonthorn finished 15th in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:25.50) and posted a time of 2:05.78 to take 13th in the 200-yard backstroke. 

Sophomores Gabby Guieb (Seattle, Wash.) and Ashley Kunz (Boise, Idaho) each posted a top-20 finish on the day.  Ingrid Cardenas (Fr., Reno, Nev.), Nikki Longland (Fr., Sparks, Nev.), Leslie Foley (Fr., Prineville, Ore.), Raquel Teran-Sanchez (Fr., Reno, Nev.) and Chelsey Larsen (Jr., Sparks, Nev.) each recorded a top-25 finish in their respective events. 

The Wolf Pack will return to the pool tomorrow at 11 a.m. for a dual meet against San Jose State.
