After taking two of three from Louisiana Tech over the weekend, the University of Nevada softball team moved into the lead of the Western Athletic Conference standings. The Wolf Pack's series win over the Lady Techsters, coupled with Hawaii beating Fresno State in two of three games in Fresno, Calif., pushed the Wolf Pack into the lead.
Nevada, ranked No. 25 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25, is 26-11 overall and 6-2 in the WAC race. Fresno State (23-15, 6-3) is second and Hawaii (17-20, 5-4) is third. The complete WAC standings can be found via the PDF link above.
The Wolf Pack will play at UC Davis on Wednesday in its final non-conference game of the regular season. After that is the first of back-to-back WAC road trips. First up is a three-game set at Boise State this weekend before three games at Fresno State next weekend.
