Nevada at Fresno State

Game Notes:
- With the 68-66 loss Thursday night at Fresno State, Nevada fell to 16-11 overall and 8-5 in WAC play. The loss snapped the team’s three-game overall winning streak as well as a three-game streak in WAC road wins.
- The Wolf Pack dropped to 31-10 in WAC road games since the start of the 2004-05 campaign and is 5-2 on the road in WAC play this season.
- Freshman Luke Babbitt led the Wolf Pack with 18 points on 6-of-14 shooting from the field and 6-of-6 shooting from the free throw line. It marked the 13th time this year that Babbitt has led the team in scoring.
- With his 18 points, Babbitt also moved into second place on Nevada’s freshman scoring list with 438. He passed Nick Fazekas who had 429 points his freshman season (2003-04) and stands just 19 points behind Nevada’s freshman record-holder Edgar Jones (457 points, 1975-76).
- Sophomore Malik Cooke finished with 16 points, one shy of his career high for scoring. Cooke made 8 of his 12 attempts from the field tonight.
- Babbitt, Cooke and freshman Ahyaro Phillips each pulled down seven rebounds to lead the Wolf Pack.
- Nevada outrebounded Fresno State 38-35, the 15th time in its last 16 games that Nevada has outrebounded its opponents. The Wolf Pack is 12-7 on the year when outrebounding its opponent.
- The Wolf Pack shot 80.0 percent from the free throw line (16-20), its sixth game at 80 percent or better this season and its second consecutive.
- Fresno State’s 11 three-pointers made were the second-most for a Wolf Pack opponent this season.
- Senior Lyndale Burleson turned in a career-high four steals in the game.
- Tonight marked Nevada’s 11th game this year decided by five points or less and its third consecutive. The team is now 6-5 in games decided by five points or less. Of those 11 games, eight have come down to three points or less (4-4 record in those contests).
- Nevada returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 28, playing host to the Utah State Aggies. That game will tip off at 7:05 p.m. Pacific Time and can be heard on Nevada’s radio flagship, ESPN 630 AM, and its radio affiliates throughout the state with Ryan Radtke calling the action.
