The Nevada men's basketball team is set to play in the 2009 HOOPTV Las Vegas Classic Dec. 17-23.

The field of eight teams for the tournament includes Nevada, BYU, Tulsa, Nebraska, Wagner, Jackson State, Chicago State and Eastern Washington.  Each team will play four games, the first two at campus sites, and the final two at the Orleans Arena on Dec. 22-23.

The Wolf Pack will take on Eastern Washington on Thursday, Dec. 17 and Wagner College on Saturday, Dec. 19 at Lawlor Events Center in Reno. Both of those games are set to tip off at 7:05 p.m. Pacific Time.

The final two games will be played at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas on Tuesday-Wednesday, Dec. 22-23. Nevada will take on BYU at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 22 and either Nebraska or Tulsa on Wednesday, Dec. 23 at either 5 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. The losers of the first day's game will play at 5 p.m. and the winners will play at 7:30 p.m. KAME-TV 21 will televise Nevada's two games in Las Vegas locally in Reno.

Tickets for the Nevada section for the final rounds at the Orleans in Las Vegas are still available by calling or visiting the Link Piazzo Ticket Office at Legacy Hall at (775) 348-PACK (7225). Tickets cost $110 each and include admission for both days' games at the Orleans.

Tickets for the two home games on Dec. 17 and 19 are also still available by calling or visiting the Nevada ticket office or going online at www.nevadawolfpack.com.
