Reno, Nev. -Nevada Wolf Pack rifle scored their high for the season in the air rifle this past weekend, Oct. 30 and 31, with a score of 2342.  Nevada placed second in the three-team match against Alaska Fairbanks and UTEP who traveled to Reno to face the Wolf Pack for their second home meet.

Nevada shot a 4610, which wasn’t enough to beat Alaska who placed first with a score of 4666. However, the Pack scored ahead of UTEP who placed third with a score of 4592.

Freshman Clif Little shot his personal best in the air rifle with a score of 585, and in the small bore with a score of 572. Also shooting well was sophomore Dempster Christenson who shot a 590 in the air rifle and a 577 in the small bore.

Also scoring high in the air rifle, junior Jessica Klatt shot a 585 and senior Leah Taboada shot a 582.

Last weekend, Oct. 24, Nevada scored last in the last three-team match against these two teams when they faced them in El Paso, Texas. 

Nevada’s next meet will be home against UTEP Nov. 21. This will be their sixth time facing the Miners this season.
