Pru Jones joined the Wolf Pack Academics staff in July, 2009 to coordinate the Champs/Lifeskills Program for Student Athletes. She has been at the University of Nevada for many years as a career counselor working in the Career Development Office. She hopes to bring to the program her years of experience in enhancing career exploration and decision making. She has a passion for helping students envision their future. She will also teach the strategic skills for locating jobs or applying to graduate school. Her back ground includes various careers in Human Resources and Non-Profit management. She is very excited to begin this new phase of her career. She and her musician husband have lived in Reno for many years. Their children are products of McQueen High School. Lindsay, their daughter, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who attended the University of Nevada for undergraduate and graduate work. Their son, Matthew, is a professor of the history of science in New York City. The family shares a love of music, word games, reading and travel. They are also die-hard CUBS fans.
